Fr. Andrew Corsten, MSC—a Dutch missionary of the Sacred Heart—founded <strong>Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College (OLSHCO)</strong> in 1947. Its Articles of Incorporation were approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission in September 1947. </p> <div class="highlight"> <p> OLSHCO is the only Catholic educational institution located within the 1.5-hectare compound of the Catholic Church along Afan Salvador Street, Guimba, Nueva Ecija. It is a non-stock, non-profit institution administered by the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart (MSC), with the assistance of the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception (SFIC). </p> </div> <p> From its humble beginnings in a single five-room building with sawali walls, OLSHCO steadily expanded—offering government-recognized Grade School (1948), High School (1949), Kindergarten (1958), and later tertiary education. </p> <h3>Growth and Academic Expansion</h3> <p> In 2009, OLSHCO opened its Tertiary Education programs including Education, Hospitality, and Information Technology. Over the years, it expanded further with programs in Office Administration, Criminology, Early Childhood Education, Technical-Vocational Education, and Technology and Livelihood Education. </p> <h3>Faith, Mission, and Excellence</h3> <p> Religion remains at the heart of the curriculum through programs such as Christian Neighborhood Communities (Kriska/DKO), ensuring holistic formation— intellectual, moral, social, and spiritual. </p> <br/> <h2 style="text-align: start;"> THE QUEST FOR QUALITY AND EXCELLENCE </h2> <p>Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College (OLSHCO) continues to uphold its tradition of developing human integrity and holistic formation. Rooted in Catholic values and the oneness of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, the institution promotes student-centered learning that nurtures intellectual, physical, social, moral, and spiritual growth.</p> <p>OLSHCO has established itself as one of the most prestigious colleges in Nueva Ecija, successfully passing PAASCU accreditation and PEAC re-certification with top scores. As a pioneer school under the Apo Jose Catholic Education System (ACES), it has earned numerous awards and recognitions, guided by faith and devotion to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart.</p> <p>The institution responds to modern challenges with programs such as P.A.R.E.N.N.T Academy and CLOUDS, ensuring support for parents and continued learning opportunities.
